How do I use WiFi in my holiday home?

It is also possible to use an existing mobile phone to act as hotspot, to bring WiFi to your holiday home.  The phone just needs to be “unlocked” and will need to be connected to the Vodafone network with a relevant SIM card.  

Creating a WiFi hotspot on your Android or iOS device can be a convenient way to share your mobile data with other devices and users in your holiday home. 

Below are some helpful step-by-step guides on how to set up a WiFi hotspot on both platforms (iOS / Apple & Android).  

For iOS / Apple Devices:

1. Open Settings - Locate and open the "Settings" app on your iOS device.
2. Tap on Personal Hotspot - Scroll down and tap on "Personal Hotspot."
3. Enable Allow Others to Join - Toggle the "Allow Others to Join" option to enable the hotspot.
4. Configure Hotspot -  The WiFi password for connecting other devices to your hotspot is shown here. You can change it by tapping on "WiFi Password" and entering a new password.
5. Connect Devices -  On the device you wish to connect, search for the new WiFi network using the name shown on the Personal Hotspot screen, enter the password, and connect.

For Android Devices:

1. Open Settings - Navigate to the "Settings" app on your Android device.
2. Access Network & Internet - Scroll down and select "Network & Internet" or "Connections" depending on your device.
3. Tap on Hotspot & Tethering - Find and tap on the "Hotspot & tethering" option.
4. Enable WiFi Hotspot - Tap on "WiFi hotspot" or "Portable hotspot," and turn the switch to "On."
5. Configure Hotspot - Tap on "Set up WiFi hotspot" to configure the hotspot name (SSID), password, and security settings. Choose a strong password to ensure your connection is secure.
6. Connect Devices - On the device you want to connect, search for the WiFi network you just created, enter the password, and connect.
